The Andaman & Nicobar Islands is a place of heaven. It’s a Island which was surrounded by Bay of Bengal. Sandy beaches of these islands are famous for turtle nesting. Important species of turtles include: Leather Back Turtle, Green Sea Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle and Olive Ridley Turtle. Water Monitor Lizard, Salt Water Crocodiles, Reticulate Python etc. are also seen here. There are lots of beaches were we can spend our times by taking sun bath, it’s a real exposures of unpolluted air and creates a good mood for the tourist. The most popular beaches are Corbyn’s cove, Radha nagar beach, Harminder bay beach, Karmatang beach, Ramnagar Beach.
About the monuments of Andaman is the world famous Cellular Jail and it was located in Port Blair. This three-storeyed prison, constructed by Britishers in 1906, is a pilgrimage destination for freedom fighters. This colossal edifice has mutely witnessed the most treacherous of inhumane atrocities borne by the convicts, who were mostly freedom fighters. Now dedicated to the nation as a National Memorial.
Ross Island is also located in Port Blair were its standing as a guard to Port Blair Harbour.
